A. Why don't you try researching the cruise ship industry? Lots of information out there (Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Silversea, etc.). You can talk about big ship and small ship strategies, places they target around the world, repositioning cruises, etc. One other idea is environmental tourism -- what does that mean? How is it implemented? What price point can you charge? Does it really have an impact? What is the customer base? Can it still be luxurious? Etc. Good luck.

Communicating with friends issue.
Q. How do you avoid people from saying "well, duhhh!" We're all fairly intelligent people. We know many things. And if someone accidently mentions something that all of us know, then we'll respond with Um, I already know that. or Uh-huh. Or we'll just give him a certain uninterested look that says it all. So what's the best way to put a new and interesting spin on topics that we already know about? This also includes the latest topics from the News, because even if you mention something like I read that colleges are offering bikes to students... that won't necessarily generate interest in your listeners. For example: The Great Wall of China. Perhaps a lot of people know that the wall has suffered from erosion and that the… [cont.]

Are flat earthers SO dogmatic that....?
Q. In a few years, once space tourism becomes more accessible to the masses that people can purchase orbital flights, would a flat earther even dare go on such a flight? If so, seeing the round Earth for themselves, would they finally STFU??? They should call it the "head in the sand society"

A. You've been checkin out ole' john slayer's questions. Yea man, I hope they do once space tourism is available. Speaking of, I hope that's gonna be relatively inexpensive. Seeing the earth would be... ... . . a word I can't even think of to be better than the best word to describe this.

Geography - bloomfield lodge (Queensland, Australia)...?
Q. I'm struggling with my geography homework as one of the question we have to answer in our essay is "How do you get to Bloomfield Lodge? Why is there no direct road access?" I wrote how you get to Bloomfield Lodge (By plane: Nearest airport is Cairns Airport. They provide transfers from the airport to the lodge. By car: Accessible via a 90 minute scenic drive on the main highway towards Daintree Village.) but I'm not sure why there is no direct access there. I know the answer will be something to do with tourism since that is our focus topic on this piece. any help???

A. Well can only guess. The Bloomfield Track is a 4wd off road type of experience. If people book at Bloomfield Lodge they will have trouble hiring a 4wd drive as most rental agencies do not allow vehicles on this road. Some do, though then the lodge may feel responsible if people do not have this driving skill so they do not openly encourage it. Plus the road can be cut off during heavy rain then guests may not be able to reach the destination or leave it. Also if they book without flight transfer then have trouble getting road transport they may want refund and stay elsewhere. Same with boat access, tide dependant so charter flight is the most reliable. However some guests may have their own 4wd and understand the risks so they will not… [cont.]
