An incentive program is a formal scheme used to promote or encourage specific actions or behavior by a specific group of people during a defined period of time. Incentive programs are particularly used in business management to motivate employees, and in sales in order to attract and retain customers. The scientific literature also refers to this concept as Pay for Performance. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License Is it a violation of adsense terms to have blogs in your blogroll that advertise incentive programs? Q. I know that it is against their TOS if your blog advertises incentive sites. I know that I didn't get accepted for adsense until AFTER I removed a referral link for Treasure Trooper. I want to be certain b/c a lot of people promoting incentive sites are asking to exchange links with me. Thanks in advance. Whether or not it's technically against the TOS, what those links DO is to put you in a "bad neighborhood" as far the search engines are concerned. Your site will either be removed from the search engines entirely, or else your rank will be so low that nobody will ever find you. And if they ARE against the Adsense TOS, you run the risk of being banned from the program for life. The Link Exchange people are a bunch of scammers. They try to provide workarounds so that you can get to the top of a search engine quickly - and guess what? Search companies like Google have known about these schemes for years, and punish people who try to use them. Will Ford be coming out with any new incentive programs on their 2008 pickup models in September? Asked by George S - Sun Aug 17 15:49:38 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. They pretty much have incentives all year long. With poor sales this year (thank high gas prices for that), it's a great time to get a pick-up truck right now. Answered by chris2EM - Sun Aug 17 16:01:59 2008 Is a referral incentive program legal?
Q. Our agency has not done a great job in the past of asking for referrals. Part of that is because prior to last August the agency only consisted of my in-laws and they didn't have time to work on a lot of extra accounts. To help increase referrals we are getting ready to launch a referral incentive program that will run from now until the end of the year. Anyone that refers an account to us will receive a $15 gift card if we write the account. The store or restaurant for the gift card is yet to be determined. Is this legal or would it be considered rebating? This program would be available to all of our contacts. We are a property and casualty insurance agency in North Carolina. Thanks for your help. It sounds alright, but from the referrer's perspective, you might want to give them a gift card regardless since they have no control over the matter. Also qualifying what a referral is will increase the quality of the information you get - a personal note or phone call from referrer to the referred - not just a list of names and numbers. Email me if you are in the Raleigh area or East, I'd like to help more.
